Can you believe it? The world’s oldest dog, living in Louisiana, USA, turned 26 this past week. Max, a Terrier cross is, believe it or not, as healthy as can be (except for some minor old age arthritis and a bit of cataracts). According to his pet parent Janelle, Max is a laid-back four legged-friend who loves to take long naps and keep life simple.
For the record…26 in dog years is 182 in human years. That is a long time of claiming your territory, finding your favorite fire hydrant and chasing that tennis ball thousands of times.
Max is just laying back and enjoying life…I’m sure if we were 182, we’d be doing the same thing!
Can you imagine if your pet was as lucky as Max? To live such a long life with barely any health risks or concerns? When it comes to our pet’s health playing the ‘lucky’ card isn’t the best bet. We all know that accidents and illness happen, especially unexpectedly. So instead of chancing it and thinking it will never happen to your pet, investing in pet health insurance gives you that extra coverage for necessary veterinary treatment and care for your furry loved one, ensuring a long life of health and happiness. And who knows, a little extra care can go a long way…Maybe even 26 years!
